Janette Cancer

My wife, Janette, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. She fought it for 8 years. It was difficult for her. For me. But, she grew so much during that time. As a painter she flourished. As a person she was so lovingly alive. She asked me to photograph her. I did. It was her gift to me. It was a shared intimacy for us. It helped me to see both her beauty and her incredible spirit in living.

In time I hope this work combined with Janette's and our journal entries will be a book. It will be titled, A Shared Journey.
